It's A Great Time to Be A Mid Rivers Eagle!
 
The Mid Rivers Junior Football Association have served the children of the St. Louis Metropolitan area since 1973.   From our humble beginnings 35 years ago, we have grown to provide tackle football, flag football, junior flag football, and cheerleading programs to over 1,100 children ages 4-15 annually.   Since 2005, our teams have earned  11 Football Tournament Championships, 8 Gateway Football League Championships,   14 Gateway Football League Conference Championships, 13 Gateway Football League Super Bowl Apperances, 2 Local Cheer Competitions, 2 Missouri State Championships, 1 National Football Championship, and 1 National Cheerleading Championship.
Important Information

Spring 2010 NFL Flag Football

Be part of the largest NFL Flag program in the country. In 2009, there were over 700 kids on 60+ teams.! NFL Flag Football is an exciting, action packed, high scoring 5 on 5 version of Football. NFL Flag Football is open to players currently in the First Grade through High School. New for 2010, there are Competitive and Recreational divisons at all age groups above first grade. A reversible NFL team uniform is provided to each participant. You will be responsible for obtaining a mouthpiece (we sell them or get one from your local sporting goods store) and cleats (no metal).

There are 8 games in the Spring Session. Games are played on Sunday afternoons. Saturdays and Sunday mornings are used in the event of a rainout or rescheduling. All games are played in old town St. Peters, convienently located at I-70 & Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Brown Road Park.

Practices times, dates, and locations are set by the individual coach. Teams practice once per week. If you have a preference for which coach you want to play for, please indicate it in the Comments section of your registration or choose from the drop down (if your coach is listed)

Spring 2010 Junior Flag Football

Junior Flag Football is open to players who are at least 4 years old by March 15, 2010 and players who are currently in Kindergarten for the 2009/2010 School Year.

This program is an excellent opportunity to introduce the sport of football at an early age. While participation and fundamentals are stressed and taught, score is kept, and a champion is crowned.

Teams will practice one time per week, location and day up to the head coach, and games will be played on Sunday Afternoons at Brown Road Park in St. Peters. The cost is $65 per player. The online registration company charges a $5 registration fee.

Our Available Programs

Spring Flag Football is available for children ages 4-15 (age as of July 31st of that calendar year) and runs from March through May each year.    Mid Rivers’ Spring Flag Football program is the largest NFL Flag Football league in North America with over 600 kids participating each year.    This is an in house league, in which all of our kids compete at Brown Road Park in St. Peters.    Games are held on Sunday afternoons.

 

Fall Tackle Football is available for children ages 7-14 (age as of July 31st of that calendar year/some additional restrictions on 14 year olds apply).    The Mid Rivers Eagles are members of the Gateway Football League.    Our home games are played at Brown Road Park in Old Town St. Peters, while we travel for road games throughout the St. Louis area.    This season runs from August through early December.    In 2007, we had over 400 kids on 14 different teams.    Mid Rivers’ tackle football program is a competitive sport comparative to select teams in soccer and baseball.    Practices are held a minimum of 3 times each week with games typically on Sundays.    Mid Rivers’ boasts an over 70% winning percentage since joining the Gateway Football League in 2005.

 

Fall Cheerleading is available to girls ages 7-14 (age as of July 31st of the calendar year).    With over 100 girls each year on our squads, cheerleaders are given the opportunity to learn cheerleading fundamentals and compete in both internal and external competitions, as well as perform at football games.

 

Fall Flag Football is available to boys and girls ages 4-6 (age as of July 31st of the calendar year).    This program is an excellent opportunity to introduce the sport of football at an early age.    While participation and fundamentals are stressed and taught, score is kept, and a champion is crowned.    Games are played on Saturday mornings and afternoons at Brown Road Park in Old Town St. Peters.
